Momtra

“Am I doing a good enough job?” said the inner voice of all mothers everywhere.

Create a mantra to speak life and truth into your season of motherhood. Here’s how:

1. Set aside dedicated time: Find a quiet and comfortable space away from the chaos of life, where you won't be interrupted by your kids demanding snacks or your partner asking where their favorite socks are.

2. Deep breathing and relaxation: Take a deep breath, inhaling all the stress, and exhale it out like you're blowing out candles on a birthday cake. Allow your body to sink into the chair or ground beneath you.

3. Choose a mantra: Select a mantra that aligns with your intentions and the season of life you are in. It could be something like, "I can handle anything, even toddler tantrums!" or "I am resilient and capable of overcoming any challenge." A longer one could include, "I am enough, just as I am. I trust my instincts and make decisions that are best for my child and myself. I embrace the ups and downs of parenting, knowing that each challenge is an opportunity for growth and learning."

4. Repeat the mantra: Close your eyes and repeat your mantra, feel the power of your words as they echo over you.

5. Visualize and affirm: As you repeat the mantra, picture yourself conquering the challenges of the day. Affirm these statements as true, allowing them to deeply resonate within you.

6. Practice gratitude: Take a moment to reflect on the little victories and fun moments of motherhood. Be grateful for the giggles, the simple joys, and the memories that make you think, "Well, this will be a great story to tell at their wedding!”

7. Journaling: Grab a notebook and jot down your thoughts, including any funny anecdotes or parenting fails that happened during the day. It's a fun way to release some stress and capture those memories that you will one day look back on with tenderness (…so they say).

8. Daily reminders: Throughout the day, gently remind yourself of your mantra. Allow it to guide your thoughts and actions, serving as a gentle reminder of your inner strength and the positive direction you're moving towards.

Remember, self-care doesn't always have to be serious. Adding humor to your routine can bring a smile to your face and make the journey of motherhood a little lighter. Feel free to adapt this routine to suit your unique style and incorporate elements that resonate with you. The use of mantras can be a powerful tool for nurturing self-love, mindfulness, and personal growth.
