What to Expect

Taking the step to begin therapy can be a hard one. We want to care for you as best we can in this process. Here are a few things to expect for your first session.

When you arrive, you can take a seat in the waiting room and your therapist will come and get you at your appointment time. 

We want to get to know you, your story, and what brings you into counseling at this time. Our hope and goal is to build a supportive and trusting relationship with you. 

When it comes to progress in therapy, there is not a one size fits all approach. We will provide a supportive space to find what works best for you and celebrate small and big successes along the way. 

After your first session, you can schedule recurring sessions at a pace that will help you meet your needs and goals. This typically includes weekly sessions over the course of 6 to 8 months.
